Toddler Christmas Gift Guide

Ok, I am going to be totally honest. Christmas has never been one of my favorite Holidays. It's always been a stressful season often spent away from family (thanks to the military). But this year is different! We now have a 3 year old and an almost 2 year old who have been completely captivated by the Christmas season. As a family we are taking advantage of every experience possible for the two of them. We are continuing family traditions as well as starting new ones and it is so exciting! They have also reached the age where we can start discussing the true meaning of Christmas. Nora fully understands that we celebrate Christmas because its Jesus' Birthday, and I think she is fully expecting us to have a cake for him on the big day. The entire day is going to be a great big relaxing party. We are so excited to watch them experience the joy of receiving gifts on Christmas morning, and to watch them enjoy the excitement of giving gifts. There is a certain joy that comes with giving gifts. Witnessing the happiness that a thoughtful gift can bring is what motivates a giving heart, and I pray that my girls have the biggest, most thoughtful and giving hearts!

So if you're wondering what our girls will find wrapped beneath the tree this year, here it is. They aren't crazy and extravagant, but they are practical and affordable gifts we know they will love.

1. Duplo Lego Creative Box - Our girls absolutely love to play with Duplo Legos. They are larger than traditional Legos which makes them perfect for the coordination level of most toddlers. We scored this 120 piece set on Black Friday for $20.00! You won't be able to find it at that price now, but you can still find them on Amazon, and there are other sets available.

2. Monogramed Baseball Caps - Our girls also love to wear hats! However, baseball caps can be hard to find if you aren't looking for something character specific. I found these adorable monogrammed hats here but there are also a lot of other great shops on Etsy. The girls will each be getting one in coordinating colors!

3. Petlandia Customized Book - My sister bought this gift for our girls for this year and they are going to love it! If you are looking for the perfect customized gift look no further. Petlandia helps you turn your family pet into the star of their very own book! These are only $29.99 and come with free shipping!

4. MeReader - Best quite time activity ever! If you have a toddler who is transitioning out of naps or just refuses to nap like mine, then this is the perfect gift! (essentially it's a gift for you)! Each MeReader set comes with 8 character themed books and a reader tablet. The child simply pushes the character button corresponding to the book they want to read and then each page has a corresponding button that reads the page to them. We currently have a Disney Princess set but they will also be receiving this Paw Patrol set for Christmas. I can't speak for other children but ours will set and read through all eight books with this reader, Nora will even "read" to her sister! (That's 30+ minutes of self entertaining!)

Helpful Tip Kohl's often has the best price on the MeReader, they are currently out of stock but I would keep an eye on the website. To avoid paying for shipping, you can order from the Kiosk in the store and it ships free to your house!

5. Youth Lacrosse Sticks - Or any sports equipment. There is toddler sports equipment available for almost every sport! My husband played Division I Lacrosse so it was only a matter of time before our girls ended up with Lacrosse sticks. This set comes with two sticks and a ball so its perfect for our kids!

6. Look and Find Books - If you haven't already noticed, we love reading in our house! Another great gift to help kids self entertain are Look and Find books. You can find these everywhere. This particular one is from Usborne books and can be found here, we know the girls will love the animal theme!

That sums it up! We know the girls will receive additional gifts from family so we wanted to keep the gifts affordable and practical. If this post has inspired you to buy a particular gift for your toddler, I would love to know. Please feel free to send me a message on the contact tab.

Thanks for reading!

Jayna

P.S. - I am not getting paid to endorse any of these products. These are my honest opinions and our girls will actually be receiving each of these gifts for Christmas.
